Bishop combats ethnic tensions in South Sudan

A United Nations fact-finding mission is currently in South Sudan's Jonglei state investigating the causes of inter-ethnic violence last week in which 103 people were killed, including 14 South Sudanese soldiers. The sedentary Murle and the nomadic Lou Nuer ethnic groups clashed during the annual livestock migration. Bishop Taban Paride, the winner of the Sergio Vieira de Mello UN prize for peace, explains his efforts to foster better community relations in South Sudan.
